Here are the latest couple - one of the late Kurt Cobain backstage after coming off stage at a concert in 1990, and the other of the late Heath Ledger with his daughter Matilda in New York City.
Both are incredibly moving for different reasons. In Cobain's case because it is obvious he was in pain and the photo encapsulates it. The snap is a window into his soul and it is incredibly intriguing. It is also a photo that you feel guilty for even looking at, as it is obviously a private moment that has been intruded.
I could go on but a picture can tell a thousand words...
The other snap of Ledger and Matilda is also intriguing because of the tragedy attached to it. This girl will grow up without her father and this is one of the few images she will have of their brief time together that she will cling to in later life. It is such a beautiful snap that tells us a lot about the father-daughter relationship and makes me want to become a father...much later on! It is also special because it reminds us of Heath - a man who was way too talented to die so young. Rest in Peace.
